What is up with Disney stars trying to hit it big in the music industry?

Is is just me or does it seem that most Disney stars/former Disney stars (though usually the female ones) want to become singers? I mean, let’s see. There’s Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Raven Symone, Corbin Bleu, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, the list goes on. It’s just ridiculous. Am I the only person who finds this rather annoying?
