Vortex has been a staple of the Kings Island lineup since 1987 when it debuted as both the tallest looping coaster and the first coaster to feature 6 inversions. Quite a feat in its day. This clip captures the ride in action. It includes footage of all the major elements from various angles. Great vid. Still one of my favs, although 2009 is unfortunately going to make Vortex look like the Beastie lol Bout time they got a B&M!

i had VERY bad expeirence wit it.
first time i riding it.then, it gets stuck.so im sitting in the roller coaster of my nightmares, 100 ft. in the air.wasnt fun…

The Vortex is still my all time fav coaster at Kings Island. I first rode Vortex in 1987 the year it opend
